We have a unique community driven approach to education and it’s important for us that our students are immersed in more than just code. The job of a Community Manager is to act as an ambassador who engages and connects developers, employers, media, and students in their local community.
Lighthouse Labs is looking to expand our programming in Ottawa as a Satellite campus. The Satellite Program is crafted to deliver coding education to communities that otherwise wouldn't have access to it. Using advanced technology and in-person mentorship, Satellite bootcamp courses creates a seamless and personalized education experience connecting students to awesome devs and instructors across the country. We also offer an Intro to Web course for students who want to learn the fundamentals of coding.
Who are you?
You are a community builder by nature. You’ve got 2-3 years relevant experience, including direct or indirect experience with events & logistics, marketing, recruiting, HR, customer service/experience, etc. You are adaptive, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, empathetic, and a self starter -- a significant amount of this role is self-directed. You are extremely organized, able to multitask like a pro and understand the need for metrics and data to make decisions. Bonus points for working in tech and/or knowing how to code! Most importantly, you have a passion for genuinely wanting to help our students’ throughout their careers.
We’re looking for someone to join our team part-time for 10-12 hours per week.
