Machine Learning and Data Science Applications and Projects

Here at Lighthouse Labs, our first data science bootcamp students graduated and showed what they learned in 12 weeks of intensive learning by presenting their final data science projects. As our graduates have different backgrounds and personal interests, there were a variety of data science & machine learning topics—from public health, e-commerce, and stock market, to the following three areas:

Sports

Carly F., previously a product development engineer

Major League Soccer Data Science Model Calculating Ball Possession

Used Major League Soccer team’s historic data and a data science model called Pitch Control to calculate probability of retaining ball possession throughout the match.

Sean M., previously an oil and gas engineer
